I am hearing an occasional click noise at the back of my Fadal VMC 10; there is also an hesitation before the spindle turns. The spindle load meter maxes out at 150 before the spindle starts to rotate and it can take up to 20 seconds to get it up to speed. My fear is that I could bury a tool into the job if the spindle is not spinning. Is it possible that the click I hear is connected to the occasional delay of the spindle turning? Usually, the next few times the spindle acts normally.....but this glitch is happening more often. I had the Fadal tech guy here last week, but he wasn't helpful and could not diagnose the problem as it wouldn't "click" for him and the spindle behaved itself while he was here. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Last edited by hpm; 04-17-2007 at 11:03 AM. Reason: spelling |
