    15k spindle air oil mist

    1996 VMC 2216

I'm replacing a grease pack 15k spindle with an air oil mist 15k spindle.
I've ordered lub-0092 retrofit spindle oiler kit and pcb-0005 mill interface card.
I already have the wiring diagram, and service manual instructions.
I wouldn'tmind a diagram of the plumbing/hoses that are involved.
Just wondering if anyone has any pointers or suggestions to make it go easier.

    Thanks for the help.

    spindle oiler retrofit kit installation

I just completed the air/oil mist retrofit.
It took about 9 hours to complete a very neat job.

Thanks Neal, The plumbing schematic came with the kit.
everything was straight forward. After 1 week the spindle is running nice and quit and it seems to be lubing ok.

I got air-oil spindel (10K). How much oil is normal to use on it?
Spindel make no noise, temp is normal even on high rpm for a long time use. I youst wondering.

Assuming that you have the current version of the Fadal air/oil spindle, the pump fires once for 10 seconds every 20 minutes. In the original air mist Fadal spindle the drip rate as view in the reservoir sight glass is one drop every second.
Also be aware that the times are only active when in jog mode or auto mode.
