Coolant leaking all over the floor

I am about to scrape off some of the aged seal which peels off and looks more like caulking. What is the best sealer to use to replace the old one. I don't think the factory seal is silicone...

My Fadal sure looks like silicon. It's a bloody pain in the arse

Fadal uses Sikaflex sealant. You can get it from one of the many Fadal Parts vendors or probably any distributer of Sikaflex. It works very well if you get everything absolutely clean before you apply it.

I was convinced it was not silicone. Silicone does not peel off as it ages, it is a pain to scrape off also. I will search for this Sikaflex.

Sikaflex has a date on the tube and it means it ,,, get as new as you can ,, I get mine at a local boat shop.

wipe the area you need to seal up really good,, I start with coolant and end with carb cleaner. even a oily finger well make the stuff not stick down good.
