Angry The Fadal Parts- Buyer Beware

Our company ordered a Fadal VM 15 from the supplier The Fadal Parts with a guarantee that an additional rigid tapping capability would be operational and installed before delivery. After receiving the machine, we discovered that it did not have these capabilities. At that time we were assured by the service rep that before being sent out, that he personally ran a rigid tap cycle. After contacting another company that annually services our Fadals, we learned that there MUST be a rigid tapping computer chip in the electrical cabinet. Our machine did not have this chip, meaning our service rep was dishonest about his personal testing and viewing of its ability to perform rigid tapping. Even after The Fadal Parts sent us a rigid tapping chip, the VM 15 is still unable to run a rigid tap cycle. Instead of properly taking responsibility for sending us a machine that did not do what was promised, The Fadal Parts has only offered to send a technician, but will require our company to pay travel and service expenses. Beware of ordering products or services from The Fadal Parts.

I hope that isnt that Koshy guy. I have a bone to pick with him over an axis motor that was replaced twice with rebuilt units when we were told it was new.

We have had good luck with our Fadals milling mostly soft steel and aluminum up to 5 axis. We are always looking for spare parts :) If you have a broken down Fadal give a shout.

Yes, we have been dealing with Koshy. He's the one wanting us to pay the travel and technician time, when we never received what we ordered.
