My boss says to just use antifreeze instead of ordering dowfrost does anyone have any information on this?? I know it says in the book to use only Dowfrost, but im wondering if there is a difference? |

| Jedi-- NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT use antifreeze in the system. That is if you want to have the system work correctly. Most importantly is the fact that antifreeze does not have the same characteristics as DowFrost. Therefore the temperature sensing will NOT be correct. Secondly , the seals are not designed to seal against antifreeze. Third, if your machine is under warrenty and you use antifreeze, there is no longer any warrenty! Neal |

It depends what year machine it is. 1980's called out auto anti freeze.(No refrigerator on these machines) In the 90's it was Dow Therm 4000. Now it is Dow Frost. I use Dow Frost in all machines, it is available from my oil distributor. |
