I purchased a 1996 Fadal 15-XT a few months ago and have some questions. Is there a way to back up the system parameters to my PC with the RS232 port. (I use the 232 port to download programs) How can I get the tool carousel to stay open so I can clean the chips out of it. Thanks, Mark |

| I know there is a way to download the parameters but can not remember how to do it! As far as cleaning the chips out, should be able to press emergency stop in the middle of a tool change to get the door to stay open. |

| Mark-- To clean inside the ATC, using the TC,1 command at ENTER NEXT COMMAND is correct. The ATC will come into the spindle anthe head will go up and everything will stop in place. When you are finished then press the manual key and it will close. If you have software late enough, go the the third command menu in the series by pressing the space bar (the Functions menu). Select the option #2 MEMORY and then select #6 Settings. This will allow you to save the backlash and parameters. Neal |
