    Spindle Chiller Coolant

Our 93 machine calls for Dowtherm 4000. Does anyone have a source for quantities less than 55Gal drums?

You should be able to buy it in 5gal pails from any Fadal service/sales outlet.
    I do.
Oops I misread - I use Dowfrost in my 94 - dont know if it is the same.

Dowfrost is the environmentally friendly propylene glycol.

Dowtherm is the "hazardous when spilled" ethylene glycol.

The characteristics of the two are slightly different at low temperatures so you can't assume that you can exchange one with the other without affecting the performance of the system. A question for Fadal.

We recommend that ONLY DOWFROST be used in the chiller. Use a 50/50 mix with ionized water or sodium free distilled water.
