| The brake may not be the problem.. The TR-65 uses a rotary glass scale on the B axis. If this scale is contaminated or the reader faulty, you may mis-position. Also is there excess backlash between the worm and the ring? Have you identified whether the A axis may be contributing to loss of positioning? Neal |

| That does sound like a brake issue. When your brakes are on position is not being controled by the motor, so if there is any position change with brakes on , it will not show on the screen. If the rotary is forced off position with brakes off, correct position is recovered on the next move, so theoretically you will not even be aware that there was a problem. How big is the position change? Make sure brake oil doesn't run out. If it did run out, depending on your rotary table you may have to bleed the brake lines. Hope this helps. |
