Does anyone have a t-816 transformer, I have one that the voltage for servo drives has one leg that is only putting out 20v?

I eliminated mine, on the VMC15XT.......

Depends what VFD drives your spindle, and what power your amps need to run the motors.......

Are you sure all of your taps and jumpers are in? If not this could be your issue. I would pull and check your jumper and tap wire for broken or missing copper.

I have not personally seen a transformer fail in this way. But thats not a lot of exp. talking.

The transformer retaps proper voltage to your drives, but it also taps down your voltage to 110/120 for everything else. I would take Jet's advice and recheck your wiring. In 10 years, I have seen only one bad transformer.

@danielboone What did you end up finding that caused your problem? Dealing with the same issue. Thanks!

I know this thread is very old, but for those that might be looking, T-816 transformer supplies 3-phase 86V AC to the DC amps board for conversion. What ever you do, if you wish to keep your DC amps this must be dealt with.
