error 368 X AXIS : SERIAL DATA ERROR (INT)

    Hi All,

    Hoping that someone can help.

    I have a FADAL 3016FX, Fanuc 0i control.

I have error 368 X AXIS : SERIAL DATA ERROR (INT)

I also had 364 X AXIS : SOFT PHASE ALARM (INT)

The plastic articulated track that retains the wires running under the table and to the motor on the right side of the table was somewhat damaged and some wires cut, so I took steps to repair and rejoin the wires, and also replaced the track.

This has worked for a while, but now I have the same problems again. But now I just have error 368 X AXIS : SERIAL DATA ERROR (INT)

What I'd really like to know is where those wire go to in the cabinet, so that I can check continuance between the cabinet and the motor to see if there's any other breaks in the cable that I missed, as I've had moments where the machine fired up and worked fine, but only for a couple of minutes.

If so I'll probably just replace the whole cable.

Any and all help is much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Matt.

Cables go directly to the control, they enter the cabinet under the control on the right side. The cable getting damaged is a common issue on the FX machines, poor cable trac design and lack of maintainence contribute to the problem. You would be best to replace the cable, and remove covers to clean it out at least once a month.

    Thanks for your reply.

I managed to repair the cable for now, but must order a new one just in case.

I found some of the cable track locally here in Thailand, so that's as good as it gets now.

The machine is running fine now and it's a good job too as we have a few parts that need to be finished this week and they will be.
