Fadal, a selection of keys quit working.

Keys - 3,5,R,W,S,X all quit working on my fadal 4020 1992 model. All the keys mentioned are sort of in a pattern on the left side of the keyboard, if you catch my drift. Has anyone had a problem like this or can atleast give me some advice? I'd hate to start replacing the keypad and keyboard when maybe its something simple.. Thanks, Andrew.

The auto key is also out, which is located above the other keys that are not working.

Open up the back of the Keyboard / Control Panel. You should see a flex harness on the left side. Try using a piece of tape to change the position of the harness. See if your keys come back. I had a problem when the machine was cold, after the monitor warmed the harness it flexed such that the keys worked. Annoying.
