    Dnc With a -2 System

I am having trouble using dnc with my older Fadal. I am using the ncfadal program and can upload programs just fine but when I try to use dnc it starts uploading the program and just keeps going until the cnc controller says there’s an error. I am using a rs232 cable that’s about 20ft at 9600. I start buy putting the cnc control into the "waiting for command" mode and the go to the pc open the file i want to upload and click dnc. Then is gives me options to change rapids and a couple other option, so then I tell it to start and it immediately starts uploading the program. I am pretty sure it should not start right way?
    Thanks for your help

After you put the control into "Waiting for command" mode you must type
DNC hit Enter and now the control expects to receive data. Now you go to your PC and do your thing as you said.
