    88HS table limit override?

I was wondering if anyone knows how to override the limits for a fadal 3016 running 88hs. I need a Y travel of 16.375 for an upcoming job and it is rather irritating. I know that it should be able to be done, I just don't know how.

    Thanks!!!

I shouldnt tell you this BUT.. It is quite simple you simply cold start the machine then move the Y axis minus or plus .1875 or more and enter CS in the command mode and it will rehome within a certain amount (depending on year and encoder count) You are doing this at your own risk because going past the machine limits can mean hitting the HARD limits and damaging a coupler/amplifier. I can count how many times I overtravelled a Fadal before cold starting and never had an issue.
We have had good luck with our Fadals milling mostly soft steel and aluminum up to 5 axis. We are always looking for spare parts :) If you have a broken down Fadal give a shout.

The other way with the -5 system is to go to your SETP parameters and enter 3020 or 4020 BUT DO NOT ENTER MORE Z AXIS TRAVEL.

Thanks, I'll give the SETP a whirl.

I've experienced having the CS position off a bit, one of our new guys didn't home the machine properly for shutdown and when I started it up in the morning and tried to move to last home, it drove the handles of my vice right through the glass! I wasn't too pleased about that to say the least!
