What year is the machine and what kind of Amplifier?
Machine is a 4020. Y axis is completely inop. Switching the axis to Y on the select switch immediately causes a Y servo amp error. I have swapped servo amp cards and axis cards. I have rung out all wiring to the motor. I have disconnected all the wiring at the motor and still get the Y axis amp error. The fault line from the amp card to the 1060 board has ohm'd good. The resolver lines have all ohm'd good to the 1060 board. The connectors are in good shape, no oxidation at all. Resolver is new as well. I have a feeling the 1060 board is faulty or the CPU.
HELP!!!!!
What year is the machine and what kind of Amplifier?
Year is 1991. Servo amp is a GTK. DC system. Servo amp is not the problem. It was swapped to the Z axis and no problems were noted.
Motor issue then
We have had good luck with our Fadals milling mostly soft steel and aluminum up to 5 axis. We are always looking for spare parts :) If you have a broken down Fadal give a shout.
