Is it possible that a Fadal machine that was re-manufactured by Fadal in 2002 has an 88HS control inside the original CNC-88 case? Was it standard practice to upgrade their controllers when they re-manufactured a machine? How can one tell if the control is indeed a 88HS?
Thanks

What will the processor level say if its an 88HS... 88HS??
Thanks much,
Aaron
I have a 1985 VMC 40, all original except the pendant; I replaced with a 1999 HS88; so the softwear is 1400-5, with 1 Gig expanded memery;with axis controlers 1010-5. The HS88 is the Cpu.
When remaned the Fadal control was updated to the latest -5 system. When you start the machine it will tell you what version you have. Or the last page on the SETP menu. The 88 pendant could be outfitted with any of Fadal's own controls 88 88hs MP
We have had good luck with our Fadals milling mostly soft steel and aluminum up to 5 axis. We are always looking for spare parts :) If you have a broken down Fadal give a shout.
