    Noob - waylube dripping.

Trying to understand what is a normal amount of waylube dripping off the X axis (onto floor pan) and Z axis (onto table) on a 4020 boxway machine.

I'm not too concerned with the X axis. It's probably less than an ounce every couple of months.

We're planning on using the machine mostly for wood so dripping on the table provides a challenge. It's not much but it does require cleanup every couple of days.

If that's normal I'm OK with it, if it can be fixed I'd be even happier.

As long there is no leaks from the hoses and meters, that is ok.

For the machine to be properly lubed, should use about half lube tank per day.
It is also good maintenance to check lube injectors at least once a year.
If you have faulty system... well, new machines aren't cheap.

If you feel the ways are overly lubricated, some lube pumps are adjustable, although I do not recall ever seeing an adjustable lube pump on a Fadal. The general wisdom when it comes to machine lubrication is that more is better. I might suggest a router is a better option for wood.

I just got a Fadal 4020 with the a Bijur pump. This machine uses about a litre of oil per day. My Matsuura uses that about every 2 weeks. I have been trying to figure out how to adjust the pumpPlease post a picture of the location of the adjuster. Thanks

A liter is on the light side of proper oiling.
You want to use less, you might as well disconnect the pump.
Maybe your Mats is a linear way machine.

The MAXIMUM output on the lube unit on my Mats is 2 litres in 50 hours. This is specified in the manual. It is a boxway machine. I have run and owned many machines and I have never had one use a litre per day.

It is an air operated unit. I don't see a knob. I will try to post a picture later.
