    topless 4020HT

    Hi!

From time to time we have heavy workpiece put on the table.
In shop we have a chain hoist on a portal.

Is there a chance to mod the housing and open the top side of the 4020 to put
the pieces with the crane into the machine?

    Thomas

Remove the bolts and replace the top with a bar to hold the side panels.(left side only. right side is the hardness inside rail)

you could also consider a "C" shaped fixture to reach around the lid.

Problem is the high of the hoist.

So the hook with workpiece have to come from the front.

There was an option for that style of sheet metal for a chain hoist. Talk to Doug H. at Maintenance Technologies and see if it is still available.
