    Inside a VH5C

    Good morning all,
I am in process of repairing a VH5C rotary unit and I have a question. The unit somehow got coolant inside the draw bar force multiplier area and some of the components are badly corroded. Everything is either replaceable or serviceable. One item that needs regrinding is the hardened insert on the end of the spindle where the balls push as part of the force multiplication. I do not know if it is pressed in or if there are threads. I know it has to be removable or one could not disassemble the spindle from the housing.
Hoping that some knows and would share this information.
    Thank you very much.

    Best regards,
    Gary

If it's the part I think you mean, it is pressed on, use a puller to remove it.
