    Z-axis home

We recently acquired a 2004 Fadal 4020 VMC that has been in storage for the last 9 months. We brought the machine up last week and everything was great except for the Z-axis home.

When we go to home the axis on the machine, if it is just above the tick mark on the Z-axis, it will home out about 0.080" to 0.100" above the mark. The same is true if you home it out just below the mark, it will home out about 0.080" to 0.100" below the mark.

This causes problems especially during tool changes. When it's down, it really pushes on the tool carousel.

Any advice or help is greatly appreciated!

You need to adjust the "ZERO OFFSET" value in the Z axis survey. Check your maintenance manual for the procedure.
