    G85 vs. G87

And I suppose I should ask the same about about G88 - G89.

Is there a difference? I don't do a lot of reaming but I'm using the G85 because that's what I use for the Tapmatic. It had been a while so I thumbed through the book to get the correct usage and noticed the G87 sounded exactly the same, bore in - bore out.

I ask because I'd rather feed out just a bit quicker. It's no big deal to G-code it but was looking for a fixed cycle that will do this.

The G85 and the G87 are the same cycle. The two codes exist to accomadate the Fanuc compatibility.
