Does anyone have the setting I need to set my fadal 4020 with 88 control to send programs from mastercam x5 to the machine. I was using the Drip feed from FADALCNC_DNC and started getting parity errors when I would try to load. Somewhere it is jumbling up the code. I have checked the cables connections and setting for the fadalcnc-dnc. Im basically giving up on it and going to try to use the mastercam built in loader. I did find if I shut the machine down for awhile turn it back on It would load the program but the next one to load it wouldnt do it. Any how can anyone help me with getting me running

Beekeeper,
The parity errors are from a baud rate mismatch. I would again try FadalCNC-DNC. Open the profile you have for your Fadal machine and make sure your settings are such: 9600,7,E,1 XON/XOFF (Software Flow Control).
From there, go to your Fadal and at the ENTER NEXT COMMAND prompt, type: SETP
Then press ENTER.
Look at the baud rate setting at the top center of the screen. Make sure you are set to 9600 baud, and if not, change it by selecting the number selection next to the 9600 baud rate and watch the field change to 9600. Press ENTER and then MANUAL. This will save the parameter setting. Reboot your machine. Meaning a full power down and power back up then Cold start the machine.
Once this is done, at the ENTER NEXT COMMAND prompt, Type the following: TA,1,2 and press ENTER.
Now, verifying the FadalCNC-DNC "Fadal" profile is set correctly to the above (9600,7,E,1, XON/XOFF), send in your program and see what happens.
If the program goes in okay, look very carefully at it for errors then dry run to make sure all is good.
If you continue to get parity errors, MasterCAM nor any other program is going to fix this for you. We need to determine the source of the parity errors and this will be between the communciation software's parameters and the expected parameters in the Fadal control, and the baud rate is all you can change.
FadalCNC-DNC is a very reliable and easy to use program with hundreds of users, so I think once you work through this issue and get your "Fadal" profile working and saved properly, this will be the last time you have to deal with this problem. For your reference, follow this link to the RS232 pinout page so you can also verify your cabling is correct from your PC to the Fadal.
