| The possible issues are: 1. Bad discs 2. dirty read heads 3. Bad ARCOM driver board 4. bad 1270 Interface board 5. bad cable or connection from 1270 to the rear of machine to the 1030 interface card 6. Bad drive Try to load a file thru the RS-232 port at the rear of the machine. If you succeed then you have proven that the 1030 buss interface is ok. Then start tracing the signal loss going backward up to the drive output it self. Neal |
