| I have a VMC 6030 88HS control in format 2 This problem started on Saturday that it would not pull an arc so I changed that part to square corners because it didn't mater. But now I am running parts that need to to be round. The alarm I am getting is "Fixture offset must be applied with G0 or G1 on N=what ever line the arc is on." I know that this is a problem because I went back to a program that has had several thousands parts ran and it will not run that program threw the graph. I am at a lost and have only started run this machine the gentleman that was running quite. Any help would be great and thank you in advance. Kyle

| This is common mistake that people make by NOT CLEARING the fixture offset table after a job is complete. You have a "pending offset" waiting to be applied and your program calls for an arc move. CAN'T DO THAT! In format 2 offsets are applied ONLY when an axis is called in the program and then ONLY for a G1 or G0 move. In your situation your most likely have a value in either the A or B fixture offset table. If you don't need that offset then delete the value from the table. If you DO need the offset place an A0 or B0 on the offset call line to satify the software requirement. To eliminate this and other possible errors, always clear out ALL UN-NEEDED offsets in both the fixture and tool tables. Neal |
