| We have a Fadal 4020 vmc that is equipped with the Renishaw TS27R tool setting probe. The probe works great when operating correctly, but it has broken 2 break stems recently. Operator observed that when working correctly that machine will rapid in x and y to get over stylus and then Z FEEDS down to the top of probe. Both times that the stylus has broken these movements are reversed ( x and y FEED and then Z rapids down.) If you power machine off and on it goes back to operating correctly. Any ideas as to what could cause this? Thanks. |

you may have corrupted memory files or the memory may be too full.give the command ME and see if there is more than 15% avilable memory you should never fill the machine more than this because the cpu will act up in odd ways.youy also should do a zero memory to clean up the files, the procedure is in the manual. |
