Spindle doesnt stop at end of program

At the end of the program I am getting the error message "Spindle would not stop". then if I try to run the program again I get the message "Inverter Fault" and "Amplifier fault on Axis C" Can anyone tell me if this is a mechanical or electrical problem? The machine is a VMC 3016 Built 1995.

Let's start with posting the last 5 lines of your program... I'm assuming the spindle is actually stopping? (M05)

sounds like the regens are not working ohm wires r1 and r2 coming out of the drive and compare them to what is in the manual,most are around 10ohms also check the large fuse in or around the drive.
