Hi I have a fadal 5020 machine and run mastercam9 software, had a thunderstorm roll though here a few weeks ago and fried the comports on my pc, before I realized it was the pc I tried reinstalling mastercam as there was no communication between pc and machine. put new comport board in pc good to go ecxept now one of my settings are off say when I program T1 I have a tool offeset lenght of 2 they used to be t1=h1 now t1=h2 and so on so then I have to open the editor and rearrange all the heights for each individual tool any help is greatly appreciated. I know the error is coming from a setting in mastercam but not sure where to find it to fix it. thx |

| THX, I've had the same problem for some time. After another near miss over the weekend, I poked around in mastercam 9 and found this; In the left hand vertical menu bar, go into setup. Find the tool setup area on the right hand side of the page. It is a box with two lines. The top line has a circle to click which says something like add to H and D value . In the space you, like me, had a 1. Take the 1 out and insert 0. This adds 1 to the tool number for the H value. I also have in the add to d slot, 20. That makes your d value when using wear compensation 21 for tool 1 etc. Hope this helps out. kap |
