Head Go up and slams

I'm been dealing with a issure when my program is done running
it has a mo at the of the program. and if you don't hit manual, and hit auto instead the head slams to its upper limit. is there a code that i could have in that the last line to make the machine go back to the main screen. so i could hit auto and start the program over with out this problem?
I know some one know this.
Thanks

You should have end of program M code that will reset the program to the beginning. Format 2 is M30 or M2 with the % sign after M30 or M2, the % sign should always be the last thing at the end of your NC code for the fadals. Format 1 is M2 only with the % at the end of your NC code.

regards

still confuse not sure what you are talking about, but try G91G28Z0. Make sure go back absolute mode(G90) when done.

Is there a fixture offset in force that needs to be canceleed BEFORE you send it home for the tool change?

Thanks for the help

Thanks every one for the help , I found my answer on a form
that explains how to run a loop on a program.
What was happening at the end of the program, we had a mo,so if the operator Accidentally hit auto instead of manual the head would go north until it stop at the ball screw mount.

This is what I added

Glad you figured out the problem.....but you should be able to move any axis to it's limit without it slamming. The soft limit should stop the axis before it hits the hard stop. You might want to check the adjustment of the hardstop in z.

The most common error that cause this "slamming" is tha a FIXTURE OFFSET was left turned on. This is a poor programming technique.
If you want to leave it turned on then use G53 Z0 to return home for tool change.
