Last week Mstenkil posted a request regarding rotation, however, we did not provide enough information. There are 6 separate parts, all 6 have "E" locations. On each part there are 4 lines of engraving. The 4th. line is numbers only with progressive serialization, 1234 etc. All 4 lines are called from 1 "sub". The problem is that 3 parts are located on or above "Y+" the other 3 parts are located below in "Y-". The lower parts are too big to fit the machine, so they are placed up-side down. So I need to rotate the sub, so to speak. I don't want to use a second "sub" as I do not know how to control the 4th. line with the progressive serialization. I thought that I could use a Coordinate System Rotation or Shift or ?? so that the 1 "sub" would work, but engrave up-side down. Thank You, Thank You. |

| Check out the manual on macros. You can use something like this % O111( ENGRAVE 6 PARTS.. 3 UP 3 DOWN L100 XR1.YR2. L9201R1+0.R2+.25R3+R9.R0+.01F10.(FIRST LINE XR3.YR4. | The Fadal is an older(?) 2216, 1995, with R.tap, no 4th. 2 pre. owners, in very nice condition. I run only format 1. I have owned it for less that 1 year, and do not get to turn it on more than a few hours per week. I first typed programs on a Flex-O-Writer in the early 1970's In the 80's I changed to Conversational on some very junkie machines. My product line only requires 2d. 2-1/2d and now engraving. I also do work for the "Trade Show" industry on a contract basis when they need motion control for their displays. Now, to answer your question, my office is in Orange, CA, the Fadal is in Corona, about 20 miles away, I prefer to take "Working" programs with me on a usb when I go. I use Calmotion, retrofitted a LCD display and leave a netbook at the site. The graphics on the Fadal is helpful, but sometimes "Too Late" to correct a problem. A Back Plotter would be great. The few plotters that I have used do not understand the codes. I know I have viewed discussions about software on cnczone sites..... What do you recommend ?? |

| Good for you. I don't know of any back plotters that show the fadal subroutines. It would be nice to have one. I can see why you need one, program at home then take to work, and something does not work. I hope my program will work for you, you might need to change some things, but it's a start in the right direction. I started using fadals in 1984, they had low guards and throw coolent and chips everywhere. Typed many programs on a telatype, make one mistake and had to start over. Good luck with your product.
