My 88HS has a wopping 43k of memory. If I add the 128k expansion, does that give me a total of 171k, or just 128k?

The 43k is the memory resident on the CPU and it will be added to the amount of memory on the expansion 1460 card.

Thanks Neal. So the PCB-0040 (1460-21) will work with my 1400-4 Processor board. Correct?

I would consider looking into adding USB capabilities. Even if you don't need it, the price difference might be worth it in your case...and it's simple to use.

Thanks, but I'm not really interested in the Calmotion set up. It is essentially the same thing as having a pc connected to the machine. I just want a little more memory for the control.

I would go with the full 422K while you are at it. I don't imagine it is much difference in cost. This is the max for the -4 with factory parts AFAIK.
