Fadal 4020 FX Fanuc installing Midaco help

Hello All,

Just purchased a 2008 Fadal FX with Fanuc and want to tie in a Midaco SD pallet changer.

Anyone that has done this? Wondering if we need to add a board, turn on macros or nothing but tie it in?

I would appreciat any and all help

I looked through my fadal files i could not find anything for a pallet changer on a fanuc control,as far as i know fadal never offered this setup.I would call fadal and talk to doug hawthorne in tech support and see if he can offer any info.

Fadal / Mag was very helpful.

We had a very good electritian install the 4 relays required as per the Fadal / Fanuc schematic. We also had Midaco out to do the install.

The machine did not recognize the Pallet change M codes. Mag sent a software upgrade. When installed the machine locked up. Re install the old software and the machine works fine.

Had Mid Atlantic out. The Tech stuck to it . in 2 1/2 hrs he figured out that One normally open circut was wired normally closed. It was a Hold.

Loading the new software recognized the M code for the pallet changer and than locked up the machine as it was not locked with the switched contact.

He found it, switched it. Machine and pallet changer work great.

though this may help someone that is doing an install.
