Thumbs up Great Stuff!

We've been using Ez-cam since it was on the Mac's! Been upgrading up to Version 15 so far. Ez to use and when we needed assistance with posts they helped us out. I like it because it can import and export to Rhino for which we use to do nesting on our Haas routers, both software's are big bang for the buck!

Give it a try!

It looks good, but I can't stand a web site that doesn't have the prices prominently displayed.
On the comparison page, one column should be the price.

It makes me think that they have something to hide, and please don't get all bent out of shape, it is my opinion after all.
If it is a good program for the money, then tell me upfront.

Just my never to be humble opinions.

Mike

Hi mega Moog. I saw that but what is the price for. There are a bunch of different packages on the comparison page, but none of them are ez-cam. I guess I am confused by the web page. I am not trashing the product. I guess it needs to be clearer for me.

EZ CAM,
Does anyone have an opinion on this software? Can it generate toolpathes for plasma or router tables.
I've been using the express version for over a year for my comet mill, works not bad I guess,as this is the only software I've ever used before I would like other users opinions before mouving up to the full blown$$$ version ez cam 16.
Or should I be looking at somthing else like mastercam or bobcam.........
I've already invested $1400.00 for this software and a bit of tutoring
Be a shame if I started up the wrong road right at the start...duh..!?
thanks
Claude

Thumbs up

It all depends on what one person needs or thinks they do.
If all you need are three axis moves it will do just fine.
Done the big name software, not that great for the money unless need is special! Most still use 2d or 2 1/2d, arcs, lines, circles to generate tool paths anyway.
As long as it can post to your control. Most g-code is still the same anyway.
Try the demo and see if that suits your NEED's.

Like I said it seem to work just fine for our 3-axis routers.

Good Luck!

HAPPY USER VERSION 17

Hello
We’ve been using EZ-CAM for a many years and have been very satisfied with the performance. Recently, we received an order for a very complex 3-D part. We felt that because of the complexity of the item we needed to upgrade our 3-D package which I had used very little. We ordered the upgraded package, and found the part was even more complex than we anticipated, so we called EZ-CAM for tech support. Their advice was extremely useful. We supplied them with our part file and we were able to get support during the evening and even on Saturday--I was impressed. The part came out exceptionally nice. We were very well informed how to make the system function and the package seems to be user friendly. We are receiving more 3-D machining, and have been programming right through the process. With the power of this software and the tech support, a person could not ask for a finer product. We feel we can take on very complex machining projects with very few issues.
