Spindle speed command from G-code Hello, I have recently purchased an Excitech router, with DSP and HSD spindle. I came to an issue where i cannot command the spindle driver with the speed of spindle in Gcode. It only runs at maximum (300Hz/18k RPM). Does the DSP handle puts only on/off signal to the driver? How are you working with different speeds? Thank you for your help, ddanutz1

You can change Spindle speed through the inverter keypad. Scroll down to the " How to operate the Excitech " thread. There is plenty of info about it there. Rocket

almost solved Hi Rocket, Thank you for your reply, i have spent half a day searching for information on this item. Fortunately i have somehow solved the problem: the DSP works with 6 speeds preset(it can be changed in the menu) and each speed number is related to some binary 3digit number which can also be configured in the menu. For speed S1 i get 50Hz (3000RPM), for S6 i have 300Hz(18000RPM), this is good enough for me. It requires however changing the tool database in CAM. thanks, ddanutz1
