SHG0609 questions

Can anyone who owns SHG0609 tell me what footprint size this model has and how heavy it is?

I want to get a stand for the SHG0609 I have just ordered. I've tried to get details info from Excitech websites but they all have different specification for this model.

thanks

Hm, I thought there were at least two members who got the same model from Excitech but it seems I was wrong.

hi there,
Havent checked here for a while!

I have an excitech SHG0609,
Dunno how heavy it is - gross shipping weight says its 202kg.
(but that includes the controller and wooden shipping carton)
Controller is probably a little over the weight of a standard PC computer.

Ive got my router on top of its own wooden shipping carton.
I have the feet of my router sitting on 2 bits of 100x50 wood nailed
across to the top of shipping carton.
Carton size: 1380x1080x850mm
Looks pretty rough but it holds its weight no problem.
The controller is on a separate table.

The wooden carton size is pretty much the size of the table
youll want - is about 100mm bigger than router size in x and y directions.
Hope that helps.
I can measure exact size tonight if you require?

cheers
Lee

Hi Lee,

Thanks a lot. Please let me know what the actual footprint size once you have got a chance to measure it.

I've been told by an Ecitech guy that it should fit 1200x1000mm table and I have ordered the table this size for the router yesterday. If it's 1380x1080 -100mm from x&y the table seems to be a bit smaller in Y direction.

cheers,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Ok measurements i stated before were mostly just from
memory - i was at work my router is at home. (wish it was the otherway around)

Distance between feet centres (feet diameter 70mm)
width ways 660mm
Length way 1060mm

Router total size is 1200mm x 890mm

That should put you straight, unless for some reason
they changed the design in 2 years.

Cheers
Lee

shg0609 overall dimensions

I received this information on overall dimensions (LWH):

1200X910X780mm.

However there is a smaller version - same components:

910x790x790mm.

Waiting for confirmation on smaller version.

I have restricted access (width) and do not want to turn the larger machine on its side.

I am ordering with upgraded spindle 2.2kw and steppers 4.5m/N (640 oz/in) - the off the shelf model steppers are pretty light duty.

Thanks a lot Lee. I have got the table, now waiting for the CNC router. If it doesn't feet I think I can just put a slighly bigger MDF pannel on the top of the table.

woodcam, I think smaller version has smaller working area. is it SHG0404 which is listed at
