SHM0906 setup help!

Hi everybody,

I recently aquired a SHM0906 from a company that went bankrupt. They wanted to use the machine for refilling ink-jet cartridges and had a custom-built dispenser head mounted instead of the spindle motor...

Together with it came a whole bunch of stuff, like the original electronics, spindle motor, software, etc.

In the last days, I managed to re-wire everything and I can run the demo-files included in the hand-held controler.
But I can't get the spindle motor to work! The inverter is a VFD-M from Delta Electronics. The wiring seems to be just fine (see picture), the remote control panel shows some numbers, but the motor doesn't move at all - I can't even start it manually. Maybe the inverter settings were changed?
Does anybody have these settings at hand?

A software called 'Type3 TypeEdit' is included, but it's all in chinese and the version is 4.3. Is there a way to upgrade to an english version? What is the current version? I've seen announcements of a 4.6 and 5.3 version...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards, Ray

This is the official home vfd-m page:

http://www.delta.com.tw/product/em/d...1&cid=1&itid=4

Try to check into the DSP, manual reference 4.3.2.5 and set it to 2, factory spindle default setting.

Then check out the vfd panel. Those are the parameters for the vfd-e:

01.00 Maximum Output Frequency (Fmax) Unit: 0.01
Settings 50.00 to 600.0 Hz Factory Setting: 60.00
􀀉 This parameter determines the AC motor drive’s Maximum Output Frequency. All the AC
motor drive frequency command sources (analog inputs 0 to +10V and 4 to 20mA) are scaled
to correspond to the output frequency range.

01.01 Maximum Voltage Frequency (Fbase) Unit: 0.01
Settings 0.10 to 600.0Hz Factory Setting: 60.00
􀀉 This value should be set according to the rated frequency of the motor as indicated on the
motor nameplate. Maximum Voltage Frequency determines the v/f curve ratio. For example, if
the drive is rated for 460 VAC output and the Maximum Voltage Frequency is set to 60Hz, the
drive will maintain a constant ratio of 7.66 V/Hz (460V/60Hz=7.66V/Hz). This parameter value
must be equal to or greater than the Mid-Point Frequency (Pr.01.03).

both have to be setted to 400 for the vfd-e, but check the official manual of the vfd-m.

At last ask to Taney.

All the best

Smile Type3 language

Hi ray, sorry for the delay.

For the Type3 software, 4.3, after you installed the software in PC, and open it, just press F10, you will see a setting table, you will find the laguage seetings there.
Now for the Type3 4.3, for China there are only Chinese and English, so you choose Enlgish, and you also can select the Unit as inch. then close and restart the program. you will see it in english.

Now from Vision Numeric company from France, there is no 4.6 or 5.3 version. now the latest version is Type edit 2008, and I will make some screen video put to ou web soon for the 2008.

Hope to help you some.
