    Hello Dandumit
Just checked the link- still works for me - but it takes a while before the site opens. Maybe you start with www.richnc.com first and than link to the English pages.
They might have some expertise- but definitely like to sell new stuff first (and pretty expensive)

I am not sure, its easy to test though. Set your Z-zero high so that nothing gets cut and then run the G-code. This will test the file on the machine without too much danger of a crash (make sure there is plenty of clearance to allow for the programmed cut depth, say 80mm higher if you have that much clearance and be ready to stop the program if anything goes wrong)

I seem to remember someone on the forum here trying arcs but I can't remember if it worked or not.

    Hey Dave
as already suggested the G-Codes arcs (mm)(*.tap) works fine.
I modified this file a bit to clean up unnecessary things (have no tool changer etc.)
Works fine for me including arc's: but still no guarantees

I am a newbie and trying to get my head around the 0501. Your manual looks good, thank you. I will be trying to set up a machine next week. Your information is a good start!

    Much appreciated.

    Could someone help please.

    Hi everyone

First time using my machine since the machine landed here last November!?

Any way I'm a beginner for CNC. I've got Excitech shg 1212 small engraver with DSP controller. I'm trying to set the XYZ axis processing ( traveling ) speed and spindle speed through the program. (V carve pro 5.5)

I have change my DSP setting Auto pro setting --Read F -- Enable
Then I tried to run the program with different speed. 3m/minute to 1m/min
But When I load the program into DSP,It always displays same configuration below.

    Proc Spd 3000.00
    Trvl Spd 3000.00
    ZDown Rat 1.00
    Spd Rati 1.00
    Spd Grad 6
    X Axis: 400.00
    Y Axis: 200.00
    Z Axis: 400.00
    A Up mm 100.00
    Drilllval 1.00

Could some one help me please.
    I appreciate any help.

    Cheers,

Hi Bananafish, I threw myself into a 1212 as a beginner CNC a few months ago so hope I can help. I've started recording some info about my machine/DSP that might be helpful (see attached file). Far as I can tell the spindle speed is not controllable with the programmed code, this need to be set via the VFD prior to cutting. The XYZ setting for my machine are 320/160/320.
    I'm also using VCarve
    Cheers

    Hi,

This how I run my programs,

To start with, any setting you enter into the Vectric software, travel, spindle speed will not have any effect on the machine.

To change the spindle speed go into Menu - spindle speed -default is 2E.

I change this to 3E or 4E or 5E, the higher the number, the slower the spindle speed.

Then load your code, when all the details come up enter into the Proc speed and change it to what ever cut speed you require.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    Simon

    Thanks Inuk and Simon,
So Vcarve can not control the machine speed right?

What I understood is after loading the program from USB memory I need to change the details through DSP manually. Or I can preset the spindle (rev)speed via the VFD.

By the way another dumb question if I'm allowed to ask.

The DSP setting appears on the controller

    Proc Spd 3000.00
    Trvl Spd 3000.00
    ZDown Rat 1.00
    Spd Rati 1.00
    Spd Grad 6
    X Axis: 400.00
    Y Axis: 200.00
    Z Axis: 400.00
    A Up mm 100.00
    Drilllval 1.00

What's the meaning of all these numbers?
Are they distance, frequency, or ratio??

And another question, Is any USB memory stick compatible with DSP ?
