    excitech 1325 with mach3

    can somebody tell me how i can run mach 3 on a excitech machine ,and what do i need to to make it work

    There are some of us on here that are looking into doing the same thing (myself included) I can't see too many problems with using a breakout board and separate computer.

    I have the 1325 and Mach3 but let it be know that I am new with it for 7 months, do you have the system up and running now as your post has been awhile?

    Shannon,

    I have the 1325 model. Does your machine have the same pinion gear for the Y axis?

    Mine have bent twice and I am not sure what is causing it.

    Mine has the same pinions on the X and Y axis, I think they would be very similar to yours. I am not sure why they are bending though? The mesh needs to be just tight enough that the gears mesh with no backlash but not excessive pressure.

    Did you get new ones sent over from China?

    I think Kent Norway is still working on his Mach 3 conversion and mine may be a while off yet. There is someone on here that has an Excitech running on Mach3 though, forget who.

    No, I'm trying to get one here in the USA first. I hope to have something coming this week.
