Talking Did you receive a cnc router or a plasma cutter?

Hi Heath. I know that you are very busy - but did your excitech arrive on Thursday? And if so - is it a router or a plasma cutter?

Hope your building work is coming along ok.

Good to See some things dont change

Hey Rocket your timing is perfect mate :-)

Got an email notification of a PM from Cabnet so thought I'd point my browser at this thread while I was here....

First post I see is yours (as the last)... And yes a new exitech owner is eagerly anticipating arrival of his new machine and your more excited than he is!

Good to see.......... And yes, no doubt you and the other regulars here will be giving advice and assistance every step of the way (probably even before the new or expectant machine owners know they need it) LOL!

I most likley wouldn't have bought a machine if it wasn't for CNC Zone and the community here AND I would have had a hard time working out how to make it go after I got it.

Heath- you'll be up and running in no time!

Thumbs up G`day Jimmy - Great to see you are back!

    Where ya been?

Sad to agree - Some things never change - Guess you are referring to the pies being belted ( again ). Need a decent forward line....still!!

How is your machine going? You are an old hand at it now.

Jim sent the email showing the chiploads. He is a great bloke - Never forgets his Aussie mates!

Heath owns a signwriting business and is very experienced with CAD programs, so he will be an Excitech expert in no time.

    Hope you stick around!

    Rocket,
its made it without a scratch, i have taken the sides of the box and to my suprise they must have re thought the design.
the brain section has been made as a stand alone part.
i'm hoping to have it put together this weekend i need to paint the floor
underneath the unit so this is one of my jobs after work.
i'm no expert not even close but the build looks great.
i'm guessing i'll be asking some stupid questions over the next months
i am curious to know what a VFD meter is?

thanks to all for help, i would never have purchased a machine without
    the help from you guys

    bring on the weekend

    thanks
    heath

p.s. sorry rocket about the pies, you need to give cloak the ass.

    Thumbs up Ripper Mate!

G`day Heath, Great news - Superb feeling to see it for the first time.

Hope you take and post some photos when it is all together.

I believe that it is not unusual to have a seperate box housing the electronics, have seen others built the same way.

Ask all the questions you like - there are plenty of us here to help.

The VFD meter is probably what we call the inverter keypad? See photo.

Are you going to watch the big game in Melbourne on the weekend? Sounds like you need a bit of a break! See Kosi got off - lightly! Glad he did - should be a great game.
Cloke was reported to have been ill last week. The pies were all out of replacement players. But agree that they need to get some good forward line players.

Have a good week. Can`t wait to see you fire up the Excitech.

    Rocket,
we dropped it down of the pallet yesterday. i decided not to rush it
& epoxy paint the floor so its all right when we move in.
i've been a bit crook, burning the candle at both ends i guess.
hoping early next week to see electrician to power it up.
i'm looking foward to seeing what she can do.
i have included a photo, as i said to the wife if all else fails at least it looks good.

i'm working sat morning, pulling up old lino at new shop the floor coverings
are going in on monday exciting times.

then sat arvo i'm sitting down with my 2 sons to watch the hawks go about the demo job on the cats.

    next week its on!!!!

    many thanks
    heath
p.s. sorry for my slackness on not keeping posted

    Thumbs up Looks quite impressive!

Heath, When you have time could you take a close up shot of where the DSP cable fits into the box?

Ramon had a bit of strife with our machine today. I believe it is because we bent the pins on the cable when we first fitted it. So please be very careful when you plug it in for the first time - and make sure it is very secure or somebody could trip over it and damage it.

When your electrician wires it up - make him aware that it uses a lot of power upon start up. Therefore he will need to fit a breaker that can handle the initial power up.

Hope you get over your illness quickly.

We are having a big barbie and lots of crownies tomorrow. Go Hawks.
Sam Mitchell for the Norm Smith medal.
