Hello Everyone,
I am beginning the process of building a CNC router and am just starting the design phase.
I was originally trained and worked as machinist many years ago. My first encounter with an NC and a CNC machine was with Tab Sequencial programming on a paper tape. But after I got out of the army my career path took a different direction and lead me into the science field. I also have a little side business going and a CNC machine will be very helpful in producing forms and also routing designs in wood.

For the first machine, the router will be a dremel. I would like the work area to be large enough to accommodate a cabinet door…40cm X 60 cm. I am designing this around the dremel and working on the Z-axis now. The holder for the dremel and how to attach it and the linear motion apparatus for the Z-axis to the y axis slide rail.
