Hi, I am living near Pontoise 95, in France. I have built some five inch gauge trains and run these round a small circle of track in our garden. This keeps the neighbours at a safe distance. I am thinking of a Syil X4 plus milling machine but I cannot find any reference as to advance steps on the tables. As the ball screw is 5 mm pitch and the stepper motor is 1.8 degree (200 per rev) I think the minimum step is 0.025 mm. The Syil America site states accuracy as 0.0005” or 0.0127 mm. Does anybody out there know better? |
