try and look at the jgro of joes design..
it's of wood, pipes, (cheap) bearings..
it's a great design!

welcome to cnc zone there are lots of good info on this forum have a look at the hobbycnc.com I built my cnc with the 4 axis chopper package with 200oz steppers it runs my 1mx2m router and my fame cuter
