| need some advcie on motor control Dear forum, We're building a camera rig for animation that uses stepper motors to move the camera through 3 axes; mechanically this is fairly straightforward but we now need software to generate pulses (not g-code) to fire up each motor's microstepping board. Any ideas? |

| It almost sounds like you can use a hardware solution, a settable pulse generator, if you need to make the changes, either mechanically or programmed, It could be done with a PIC or a PLC. Do you need interpolated moves? Do you need to program speed also? Al.

| Really depends on the type of moves you are making, will you be moving the camara to fixed locations, that are to be stored in a DB, or will you be manually moving each axis with a jog or by a joystick? Need a bit more info on the application really.
