| I am doing a research project on a machining product and I’m hoping to be able to gain some answers here to a question on feed and speed variables. I’m wondering if there are internationally recognized machining variables for RPM, Feed Rate, Cut Speed, Number of Teeth, Chipload, Cut Feed, and Diameter. I am most interested to hear from those in non-English speaking countries. |

| Hi CIJo, as far as I know, I am a metal worker, not a machinist, there is only the difference between the imperial and the metric system. We use for example millimeter/second for speed, rounds per minute for RPM (no difference!) and so on. No big deal, other than that I always have trouble visualizing those inches and pounds, being raised with the metric system. regard, Arthur |
