Hi - my name is Dave Hickman and I live and work in the UK. Since I left Uni (many years ago!) I have worked on and off with cad and cnc related control systems. My main interest was C3 computer and telemetry system design but sometimes I got sidetracked by CNC plasma cutters, laser profiling systems, 3 and 4 axis machines used for heatsink manufacture etc, My main interest at the momment is foam cutting (carving) and I am interested in producing a simple CNC based hot wire foam profiling machine (if such a thing is possible - I'm sure it is). So It's fair to say I"m not a CNC pro but I know a fair bit about how these things operate. I look forward to re-acquainting myself with the vagaries of CNC and profiling. best regards Dave 1  |
