Hi all, been viewing the forums for a few weeks here. Thought I'd introduce meself. I help in the running of a medium sized machine shop in S.Wales. Supervising , programming, milling, routing and turning a huge variety of engineering plastic parts. My lady is the Technical adviser for the same company so Plastics are a bit of a family thing I guess. Been working the stuff for 15 plus years but still found a wealth of knowledge here of late. Can you do polycarbonate? I've got an enquiry from a customer who wants 300 off 50mm dia x 2mm thick. It has to be an optical finish (basicaly just see- through). It's not economilca for me to machine them but we can get the coating work if I can sub- con the component manufacure- tol ion thickness is +/- 0.1mm, tol on dia is +/- 0.2mm.

Hi ImanCarrot, short answer is yes. In 2mm plate and 50mm rod. Plate being cheapest but without the spec in front of me cant promise the +/-0.1 on the thickness. I will PM my partners details, best bet to give her a ring/email and she will advise you on the fine details.
