Does anyone use Esprit to program Star Swiss style lathes? I'm looking into Esprit software to program my Citizen E32-4, E16J, and Star SV-32, SV-32J, SV-12, and SA-16R. We do a lot of long part that require pinch turning and follow/support operations. A colleague of mine uses Esprit to program his Citizen lathes and highly recommends it. Is there anyone who has used it for Star lathes?

    Thanks

Star have there own Cam software which is called E-Camo
What drives Ecamo is Esprit (Ecamo developed by Star and Esprit).
Ecamo is better than Esprit as star developed for star only several years ago as it is not suitable for other machines.
I have also worked with Gibbs software (Great Graphics / Crap Posts)
From my experiance Delcam PartMaker is the better Software that truly was designed for swiss machines.
    The posts are good.
In my opinion it is the conversion of the data through the post that makes the real differance.

You definatly have to have a good working post,,, period. We use Esprit to program Citizens also. We have the M16, M32, L20 & L32 all working good for the most part. We did have to add custom code for a knurling process we did but for the most part I can get Esprit to work. I also have very good machine simulation that helps. Good luck
