Esprit 2007 Anybody ever get an error "Can't reach this position (needs another axis of rotation)." Work Coordinates are calling up the correct work planes and every thing seems to be fine looking at the program manager in detail. When I run the simulator I get the above error. If I post the NC code and backplot it, the code has the tool dropping in from what the original origin, before I rotated it and made a different work plane. In this case the from the bottom of the screen up. No wonder it wants another axis of rotation.

| I only have E2008, so I can't send you a modified file... sorry. Your Op1 Workplane is upside down. Since your machine doesn't have a "B" (rotary) axis, Esprit can't reach the processes on Op1, hence the error when you simulate. You need to have all your Z's pointing up. Do the part in two different Esprit files or move Op 2 off to the side and flip the part over to keep Z pointing up (as it is on your machine). Good luck. |

| Not an NT, but I use it on both and NV and an NLY. The only problems I have had our me not taking the time to get the posts right. Once your posts are set up, it works great.
