ESPRIT Mold new software?

Has anyone been using this new software? We are looking at Delcam, Camtool and ESPRIT Mold since we have ESPRIT for wire. It sounds pretty good, and the price is good too. We're having them come to the shop in a couple weeks. Just wondering if anyone has any comments on ESPRIT Mold. Supposed to be a new software.

esprit mold is a completely different package than esprit. it was designed by a company in italy and DP Technology bought the company. it is very easy to work with and use but limited in some cases.

I don't know who's coming. Well, really no one. It will be a web demo.

What are the limiting features that you have discovered? I would be interested in knowing. I'll be seeing it later this week.

Having a web demo is a good first start for seeing the software, but you like what you see I would suggest getting a second in house demo. That way you can get the techs to walk through things on your parts and not do a canned presentation. We bought Esprit (regular version) sight unseen and sometimes think that it would have been better if we had explored things better. But for the most part have gotten satisfactory results

I have Esprit Mold. It's great. I'm using it on Mill Turn NT5400, and Integrex E-500 for 5 axis all the way.

Actually, they emailed us the code from the demo part and we ran it. It cut really nicely. The rough was very efficient, the finish was nice. Granted a simple part, but the ease of use looked amazing.

We're getting it to replace mastercam. Soon I hope. Way better for 3D, but it only does 3D and 5axis. Like I said before it is like a delcam or camtool. But it looked easier. And we already have DP for the wire, and their support is great (compared to our mastercam reseller). So delcam and camtool don't seem to have that great support.

I have had EM8 for a year and now have EM9. I use it on a Integrex 200. It is easy to use compared to other cam systems. I don't think any other cam software can beat its roughing. I have reprogrammed several jobs with it and every one is faster and saw better surface finish. We have Esprit2007-2008 and EMold is a lot easier to use.

Mostly medical. I do ALL of the lathe work and most of the 2D mill work in Mazatrol and do EIA subs for the 3D surfacing. I guess you know it doesn't do any lathe programing. You said EM only does 3D and 5axis. The versions I have will do 2D 3D and 5Axis

I was told in the next version of ESPRIT, the Mold stuff will be integrated as part of the system. I think they said the interface would look like ESPRIT, so not sure about that.

I heard that as well. I hope it will be more like EM and less like Esprit2008.
