Hello guys,
is it good idea to try to make an anvil for my workshop from epoxy granite composite with hardened steel way on top?

Don't they have real anvils over there? Even blacksmiths who make everything themselves don't often try to make their own anvils. And anvils aren't made that way. For one thing, epoxy doesn't do well with heat, so when you lay red-hot iron on the top, it will soften and release the top plate, especially when you start pounding on it.

A better idea, if anvils are really unavailable there, would be to use a section of railroad rail; it won't make a full-sized anvil, but it's generally good steel, and will work for some purposes.

As Andrew said, heat would be a problem. From what I've read, epoxy granite does not deal well with impact forces either.
