| Maybe I'm just naive but, I don't see any reason why the auto industry, in 2008, can't make a car that gets 50mpg, is well made, safe, reliable and fun to drive. After all I had a car that almost fit the bill over 10 years ago. And, I think that the Geo Metro did get 50mpg. I never drove one so I don't know how good the quality was. It has to be that auto makers just don't see any profit in making a car like that. But, with gas expected to hit $4/gal by summer maybe that will soon change.  |

If a car does not make sound like these, I don't want it. Perhaps there should be a law that electric vehicles must have large speakers on the outside making these noises to protect the blind...  Last edited by dynosor; 04-25-2008 at 01:54 PM. |
