![]()
...likeley The USA will be hit with a Nuclear attack which no doubt will bring on a real Globle Warming!
Global cooling, as in Nuclear Winter. If it wasn't for those pesky rads... ![]()
I would love to see all the training Al Gore,De cap, and other movie stars have on this subject
Now I have to agree with this whole heartily. Al Gore as a senator and later VP did hear a lot of expert testimony/opinions and learned much, problem with that is ANYONE with an agenda only listens to the opinions of the people that agree with them. As to the celebs, OK they feel they are using their media power to push a cause they believe in. Fine I guess they think it is a moral imparitive. That isn't to say I can't help but think "Who pulled your string?" when they do. People pay them a lot of money to do one thing, act;produce;sing. Do that and just shut up, leave science to the scientist and politics to the bottom feeders, err politicians. Scott

And how about one of the leftie favorites… Ethanol. Well, according to a research paper that made the rounds on the evening news last night, some California university professor says, yes ethanol will reduce CO2 emissions, but it has a much higher emission level of ozone. His prediction is that it will cause a large increase in deaths of elderly and those with compromised pulmonary functions. Especially in LA with the smog inversion layer they get every summer. And while were on the vast right wing ‘spiracy. V. Bugliosi (the prosecuting attorney in the Manson case) released a book with 25 years detailed research showing the Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone and there was no second or third gunman. But that’s a different ‘spiracy for a different thread.

He was just at Cannes to announce his new film...a film about how we should change our lifestyles. Just like he has. (I'm kidding about the Prius', but that's what he'd like you to believe.)

Gore's Inconvenient Truth: Environmental Hypocrisy "Armed with Gore's utility bills for the last two years, the Tennessee Center for Policy Research charged Monday that the gas and electric bills for the former vice president's 20-room home and pool house devoured nearly 221,000 kilowatt-hours in 2006, more than 20 times the national average of 10,656 kilowatt-hours." "If this were any other person with $30,000-a-year in utility bills, I wouldn't care," says the Center's 27-year-old president, Drew Johnson. "But he tells other people how to live and he's not following his own rules." And in late breaking news (also related to breaking and entering) From the Congressional Budget Office: "Regardless of how the allowances were distributed, most of the cost of meeting a cap on CO2 emissions would be borne by consumers, who would face persistently higher prices for products such as electricity and gasoline. Those price increases would be regressive in that poorer households would bear a larger burden relative to their income than wealthier households would. Any policy that reduced U.S. emissions of carbon dioxide would inevitably create costs for existing workers. Job losses could occur throughout the economy but would probably be especially large (in percentage terms) in industries associated with high-carbon fuels. A cap-and-trade program for CO2 emissions would tend to increase government spending and decrease revenues. Like other consumers, the government would face higher prices for energy and other carbon-intensive goods and services. In addition, by leading to a decline in the production of such goods and services, the cap would cause a decline in the taxes collected on corporate profits. If the government wanted to provide the same level of services without increasing the budget deficit, it would have to either raise taxes or use part of the value of the allowances to cover the changes in federal outlays and revenues." Great Simolians! When Katie, Dan, and Brian reported that I must of been working on my stirling engine powered snittygetter. Oh the humanity.... Oh the stench. But the rallying cry is strong: 911, 911, GW, 911, terror, terror,GW, terror, 911, terror, GW....ad nauseum (repeat randomly as required until desired results are observed) Cue flashing sign (audience properly swoons) ![]() Edit: You guys bear with me please. I'm here to learn, and you'll notice I've only posted in opinions... so far. That's all I'm qualified to give... so far. This is a great bunch of helpful people and I'm learning. Soon I hope to learn enough to ask intelligent questions about "other stuff'. I read I learn. I do not want to build an inverted pyramid, it's not stable Last edited by DirtDobber; 05-26-2007 at 03:42 PM.

House Speaker Pelosi now considers herself a global warming expert. [Beverly hillbilly accent] "I went up dare to Green land, (it'd be a really pardy place to vacation if I had time, but dudy calls), and saw global warming with my own two eyes. There is just no denying it. This trip wuz reeeeally gooood for the taxpayers. They showed me where Viking used to grow grapes, and raise food, now all covered in ice, I tell ya!" Uhhh, Mrs. Pelosi: If it's human caused "global" warming, except for the humans in Greenland of course, wouldn't you see it almost anywere??????? Why did you have to go to Greenland? Well that's where Greenpeace told me to look. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,275956,00.html Don't you get the feeling that all the Environmentalist are in a big hurry, because they think Global Temperatures will take a downward track, and then they can take credit for it? If the've actually done something. The power of positive thinking.
